First Field Trip

We are apart of a home school group in our community that puts on field trips and all sorts of different activities that allows the kids to get together plus it's a nice change of scenery. Our first outing was last week and I'll admit I was a tad nervous taking all three kids by myself. It was a very large group, over 100 of us were going.

Everything was fine once we arrived. We got into smaller groups and took a hayrack ride out to where the kids got to pick their own pie pumpkins and learn all about the farm.

Deacon threw quite a few tantrums which caught me off guard.... A.) He isn't normally the one to be fussy and B.) He hardly ever throws fits out in public! He screamed through almost every education station. It was a tad on the chilly side but more than anything I think he wanted to RUN. It was a very large farm/pumpkin patch and he wanted free rein to explore. I guess I could hardly blame him.

We met a lot of great families and the kids had a blast especially at the end when they got to go down the barrel slides and play with the animals more. We stayed and had a picnic with the other families, then headed home for a power nap since the twins were in the homecoming parade for dance later that evening!

We are all on the verge of a colds and in need of some rest after a busy few days and weekend! On the plus side the house is finally done being painted and put back together.
