Although it still feels like summer, the first day of fall has officially started and I couldn't be more excited. The twin's Birthday is in October so fall holds an extra special place in my heart. A perk to living in the widwest is having all four seasons with fall being one of the most beautiful.
We started off the season by heading to the park this morning for a picnic and preschool lesson. We're working on a leaf graph, so the kids went out and found as many different color of leaves they could (which was challenging with leaves just beginning to change.) They are working on sorting while learning what trees they come from. It was a fun little science project where they got to experience nature and the beautiful weather.
We threw a blanket down in the middle of the park where they ate while I read one of our favorite books, Now it's Fall! We talked about our favorite part of the season, girls both said "pumpkins, and Halloween and stuff..." Made me laugh since they skipped right over the fact their Birthday is coming up. After preschool the kids got to play at the park, then we headed home for nap! It was a perfect morning.
This season and upcoming month we have so many fun things planned and a couple home school field trips we will be going on with all the other kids.
Hope everyone is having a happy first day of fall!!
