He opened a few gifts and got to take his sisters for a ride in his new choo choo train by Step2. They were obsessed. However Livy did have a melt down. She didn't like the idea Deacon was opening gifts and getting so much attention. She was as dramatic as possible, she told me she was going to live at Mee-Maws and taking all Deacon's toys with her. She ran to his room and started grabbing everything in site! They're always competing for attention it seems like. Good grief.
Deacon's first haircut technically was at 6months old. Our hairstylist at the Salon came at him with the shears while we were in the salon one day and demanded to cut it. He had the best home grown mohawk going on, but today he got a big boy cut. He grew up right in front of my eyes! Such a little stud. I still can't believe he is a one year old! Here are some before and afters, and a flash back to the mohawk which still cracks me up.
We will be pretty busy the rest of the week and getting ready for Deacon's big birthday bash. His Dr. Seuss themed party happens to fall on the same weekend of Dr. Seuss' 111th Birthday! So Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss and Deacon.
Have a great week!!
